A pocket knife, I'm assuming? If so, Case is a very good brand, although I wouldn't recommend buying an expensive one if you plan on using it daily. I have a couple of Case knives that I use daily, but didn't spend a whole lot on them. I paid about 60 for each one.

If you're talking about an "all purpose" knife, Winchester and Gerber both have pretty good ones. You don't need to spend 100+ bucks on these in my opinion. I have an 8 inch Winchsester knife that I bought for 40 bucks at Bass Pro years ago. I've been very pleased with it. These are great for camping and what not.

Edit: To be totally honest with you, I'm not too familiar with them as far as actual models go. Mine is stainless steel, has a rubberized grip, and has about a 6 inch blade on it. If I remember correctly, I paid about 50 bucks for it. I could be mistaken though, it's been a while since I purchased it.
