Do I have a silent killer in my head?

For the past six months I've noticed that sometimes when I stand up from my chair my neck gets tight, I feel like I can't breathe, I can hear my heart beating in my ears, I get light headed, and have lots of pressure in my head. Should I be concerned? Could this be a serious problem? I will make an appointment with my doctor, but want to know your thoughts; thanks.

You need to see your Dr. It sounds like you may have a BP problem but also it sounds like you are having some panic attacks because of these problems. The not being able to breathe and light headedness, chest tightness all lead me to believe you are panicking because of your symptoms. Go see your Dr. The problem can be controlled but I think you are just really panicked because you don't know what is wrong. Relax, it doesn't sound life threatening but see your Dr for reassurance.
