Fishing reel?? Need help!?

I have a Johnson century reel. The crank is on the right side, and there's a nut on the otherside that holds the crank in. The nut came lose and I lost it. Now there's nothing to hold the crank (thing you turn to reel in) on. Can i buy a small nut at a store, or should I try gluing it on?? I need to get it done soon because Im going fishing in a few days.

I would stop at your local Ace Hardware or a Mom & Pop hardware store - bring the reel with you.... buy it there. It may be reversed threaded - they may know or may not.
Last resort - I know Home Depot has some small stuff - rummage thru it in the fasteners section - usually you have to open a drawer up and it's in the drawers.
